Breaking a world record is no easy feat, even when you have 600 Nerf guns taking aim.
Drake University students in Des Moines set out to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Nerf Gun Fight, previously held by Washington University in Saint Louis. Washington U. set the record back in 2010 with 461 participants.
Plans were set in motion earlier this school year at Drake, and the actual fight took place on March 27.
As of the publication of this piece, Drake University students have “unofficially” set the new record.
